Pillows: tri-core, D-core, cerv-align
Why are neck and back pains so common? There are some people that wake up and experience pain or kink in their neck or upper back and not know why. Some questions to consider are: what position are you sleeping in and what type of pillow and mattress are you using?
When choosing a pillow, look for one that supports the natural curvature of your spine while lying down. Make sure the forward curve of the neck is supported and is in a neutral position; avoid having your neck in an extended or flexed position. If you are unsure of what to purchase, bring in your pillow for us to analyze. Based on what we find, we can recommend the pillow that may fit you best.

Cervical Apex
In today’s society, migraines, headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, nerve radiculopathy, numbness and tingling have become more prevalent. In fact, 20-70% of adults have reported to experience neck pain that interfered with their daily activities.
Most common x-ray findings found during our examination is a lack of curvature in the neck region, known as cervical kyphosis. The cervical curve is essential to balance the weight of the head and allows the nervous system to effectively communicate with the rest of the body. Lacking proper curvature would impede the communication from the nervous system to the rest of the body. Muscles are recruited, overworked and becomes imbalanced leading to the list of symptoms mentioned above.
We recommend that our patients utilize a cervical apex product along with chiropractic care to counter the forward head posture to restore the curvature in the neck.
