Chiropractic Care
What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is widely known to be the most effective complementary and alternative method of natural healing. Chiropractic is the art, science and philosophy of addressing the root cause of your disease by restoring joint function and alleviating the tension on the neuromuscular system. Causes of our disease is directly linked to our everyday life activities that is stressful to our bodies. Stressors such as thoughts, trauma and toxins that contribute to misalignments in our skeleton known as subluxations.
Chiropractors specialize in detecting and removing subluxations through chiropractic adjustments. Correct curvature and alignment of the spine is crucial to living a healthy life. If left unresolved, your body becomes more susceptible to chronic problems such as aches, pain, headaches, or decreased organ function.
Wellness Care
Patients typically enter our office with acute symptoms. After the acute phase, patients graduate to wellness care. Regular maintenance is key to keeping our progress and to prepare your body to adapt to everyday stressors. It is important to know that the human body is designed to responds to asymmetry, not trained to be perfectly balanced. Mental, physical, and chemical stressors encountered every day contributes to misalignments.
In order to improve your health, we specialize in detecting, reducing and preventing vertebral subluxations.

Congratulations on your PREGNANCY!
During pregnancy, your body will undergo rapid changes physically and endocrinologically to nurture your unborn child. Your journey throughout this pregnancy is exciting and can be challenging as well. Your posture will change as you progress through the pregnancy. Postural changes such as rounded shoulders, anterior head carriage, abdomen protrusion and pelvic imbalances are common. These postural changes could be challenging since it alters your center of gravity which adds unnecessary stress onto your joints, muscle, nerves and organs. An interesting fact about the human body is that it responds to asymmetry, meaning your body will compensate to get comfortable and to stay away from pain. Imagine what your posture will be like then. Overtime, the postural changes impact our biomechanics which may contribute to pregnancy symptoms like nausea, reflux, headaches, radiating pain, shortness of breath, pain in the neck, back, hips and/or failure to progress in labor. These symptoms are common and are manageable with the help of chiropractic care.
Research shoes co-management with chiropractic care during pregnancy is beneficial for the mother and may be beneficial for the baby. Both Dr. Andrews and Dr. Lam are certified in Webster Technique, a specialized chiropractic technique for pregnant mothers. Our doctor’s role in prenatal care is to balance the pelvic floor and reduce stress placed on the uterus and supporting ligaments for the fetus to grow optimally. Webster technique is a gentle and specific sacral analysis that addresses sacroiliac dysfunction. Webster Technique improves the neurobiomechanics of the mother for a healthier and safer pregnancy and labor.
Pediatric care
Research shows Chiropractic is safe and beneficial for children. Newborns enter the world with trauma to their spinal cord and brain stem from longitudinal traction, torsion, and compression during the birth process.
The first year is an opportune time for your baby to be under Chiropractic care. During this crucial time, you would want your child to reach each milestone symmetrically for the muscular structures to develop properly and to induce the correct curvature of the spine. Research has shown regular chiropractic care improves the child’s sleeping, attitude and behavior, immune function and reduces episodes of digestive issues and ear infection. Chiropractic specializes in alleviating the stress placed on the nervous system to allow children to properly develop, to prevent asymmetry and to impose correct movement for a sturdy foundation.

Soft Tissue Mobilization
Our center of gravity is altered as we go through microtraumas every day. As our bodies accommodate to asymmetries, we recruit groups of muscles to keep us upright which leads to subluxation. Without addressing the subluxation, certain muscles become overused while others become weak. Our body responds to these changes or traumas by laying down more tissue. This leads to scar tissue buildup, adhesion, muscle cramps, spasm or aches. In some cases, scar tissues may irritate or trap nerve which may result in pain, tingling, numbness, and or weakness. Our clinic provides several methods of soft tissue mobilization that are designed to reduce pain, improve range of motion and increase function.
